Although we are disappointed 305 didn’t pass, we are proud of our campaign and the power we built to fight for tenant rights in Denver. As we catch our breath and plan future efforts, we want to extend our gratitude for everyone involved and share how people can stay plugged in.

In March, there were 1,195 eviction filings in Denver- a 5 year record. That’s nearly 3,000 people dragged into court because they can’t pay rent or because their lease is expiring and they have nowhere to go. 3,000 people in Denver! In one month!

You can't call the justice system fair if there are people who can't afford to take time off work or pay for a lawyer. Justice isn't supposed to favor those who can afford representation.
