Polycomb Assemblies Multitask to Regulate Transcription mdpi.com/2075-4655/3/2/…
Focusing on mammalian models, the author reviews here advances concerning #Polycomb in #transcriptionalcontrol.

@Reeben18 @EpigeneticWhisp Genetic testing can be performed on any cell. Which cell you test, depends on what type of condition you have.

@Reeben18 @EpigeneticWhisp Opt for next generation whole genome sequencing. This will provide greater insight such as deletions and insertions. Genotyping arrays are incapable of differentiating between these genetic changes and polymorphims.
English

@DrJRogers Unfortunately, much of the information available pertaining to MTHFR is backwards.

@LilyNicholsRDN Taking methyl folate can be far more dangerous than folate or folic acid.
English

How is folic acid different from folate? Why is folate superior to folic acid for pregnancy & fertility (even if you don’t have MTHFR)? What’s the problem with unmetabolized folic acid? Answers here: lilynicholsrdn.com/folate-pregnan… #folicacid #methylfolate #realfoodforpregnancy
English

@tripdatabase This is because the level of expression for MTHFR is unique to each cell.

New2Trip: Addendum: ACMG Practice Guideline: lack of evidence for MTHFR polymorphism testing tripdatabase.com/r/11207605
English

@mariarickert I can't say we agree with that. Research has changed our current understanding of mthfr polymorphisms significantly.
English

Kids who have a genetic MTHFR C677T polymorphism are more likely to have autism (because they are less able to clear toxins). Remember, genes are not a life sentence, as diet and lifestyle factors dictate if those genes are expressed or not. ow.ly/NrBq30rclXl
English

@avoiceforchoice @CDCgov A very common misconception is the requirement for more methylation if you carry a MTHFR polymorphism. The opposite is true.
English

"The findings of the meta-analysis indicated that MTHFR C677T polymorphism is remarkably associated with ASD in the five genetic models, viz., allelic, dominant, recessive, heterozygote, and homozygote."
#Autism #Science #Parenting #ChildrensHealth @CDCgov bmcpediatr.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.11…

English

@DrJRogers With grain fortification of folate and supplementation to prevent neural tube defects in pregnancy we also saw a rapid rise in rates of autism, infertility, still birth and developmental delay. We are all overmethylating!
English

@doctoramyneuzil A requirement for more methylation is a very common misunderstanding.
English

Do you know what MTHFR has to do with gene regulation? #MTHFR, #MTHFRlifestyle, #MTHFRcommunity, #mutantsunite, #tohealthwiththat ed.gr/ctxi2

English

@Reeben18 @EpigeneticWhisp Not only was it the only choice, but it was also an incorrect choice. The modern understanding of these methylation polymorphisms is very different now and many of these programs have not caught up yet.
English

@doctoramyneuzil What is your current understanding of MTHFR polymorphisms?
Recent research has changed our entire perception of the methylation concept.
English

@HCUAmerica Don't forget to include hypermethylation as a primary cause and be careful not to misinterpret MTHFR polymorphisms.
