@ProofOfEly yeah but if you haven't put in 300 hours into a game in a month at least once a year, are you even a man?

Every single time I’ve been depressed in life, this was my exact routine. It’s chicken or the egg. Either this lifestyle led to my downfall or my downfall led to it but one thing is true… Breaking this routine fixes my joy and productivity every single time.

Releasing @unchained_game in 6 days but in late evenings when I'm fried and need a break, I'm coding/testing a play-to-earn space sim. And yes, it may already have 18 systems of varying danger lvl, quests, guilds, multiplayer, mining, trading, bounty-hunting Wtf is wrong with me

@broskisol outside of stablecoins/payments, which are largely solved: 1. UX (a la Abstract but even more convenient, I have ideas) 2. Gaming. I'm really torn on p2e b/c I hate extractions, but I keep feeling there must be a good way to do it? 3. Communities. Just fk around. '21 minus mania

quick one, So many crypto projects shut down these past few weeks, tools, defi, chains, sofi etc.. it's so glaring most people don't like these kind of projects again. The question is: As a regular crypto user, what kind of projects would you like founders to build and would genuinely interact with bar airdrops? I'm sure 90% of CT users don't really care about all these agentic payment protocols being launched.

A lot of talk about algo.. but maybe we just realized one thing.. Social Media (they are not social media anymore, anyway) don't bring any value to our lives. They just made us addicted to it! If you go to short-form video platforms. It makes you feel dumb after a bit of scrolling. Idk why now! But I see more and more people around me saying it and trying to avoid it as much as possible! There is only brain rot, rage bait, negativity, and if you look at it from a distance, it makes no sense. Twitter used to be different, but because we are getting to the standard of other platforms, maybe this concept is outdated, and we need something better. ---- Why twitter was better? Because you could learn new things, network with other people and there was not so much rage bait back in the day.. I saw people I follow, and it was easy to manage it. Now I need to work a lot to even see content I want, lol.. What is the future of these platforms? It cannot be training the army of brain dead people...

Man it’s actually crazy how much people are spending on AI. Bc they feel like they are going to be left behind. But then they are not producing actually economically valuable outputs. It feels just like the FOMO of NFTs from 2021. Different form, same thing.

The difference in culture in Miami compared to NYC and SF is absolutely staggering You'd have to see it for yourself to truly understand Unless Mag 7 companies build major offices and literally ship their talent to Miami en masse.. There won't ever be a world class tech scene

Every Apple app that has ever made money including mobile games is all paid acquisition Paid acquisition is so important that multiple businesses built billion dollar empires around optimization of this one issue. Generational companies also face this issue When Tesla and other companies compete with uber do you think uber won’t do paid acquisition? I’d argue that not needing paid acquisition either means you’re incredibly rare or you’re in an industry that isn’t making that much money because it’s not competitive for a reason.
andrew chen@andrewchen

lots of AI cos starting to experiment with paid marketing so here’s my take: Paid acquisition is a tax on your product's defensibility. the moment you can't out-spend the incumbents and competitors, you die. build channels that get cheaper as you grow or you're just renting your growth

@shivst3r ai may benefit chains, but tbh not sure I see how it will benefit crypto users. and why would agents go where there are no users anyway? I build in crypto and this feels like copium to me crypto needs reasons for humans to be here, not agents. agents will follow.

The timing of the sentiment in this space couldn't be any worse. AI is about to become the biggest user of blockchain in history and it's suddenly the exact moment everyone is bearish af. We're standing at the front door of what could be the single biggest wave of on-chain activity this industry has ever seen and the majority of CT is checked out. The narrative that will probably define the next decade of crypto adoption yet people are too busy doom scrolling or reading shitposts to notice. Sentiment has never been a reliable indicator of where things are heading. There's euphoria at the top and misery at the bottom of every single cycle without fail. If you're paying attention right now, the picture couldn't be any clearer.

@MarsDorian yeah, times were giga hard for Viets after the Vietnam war. REALLY hard. It's a very communal nation. Well, it's also everyone for themselves, people will cut you off on the road or in lines all day long. But they'll also help. The energy here is fkn great

@nftsasha that's cool--I bet it has something to do with the political past. People in Eastern Germany also tend to be more communal and socially helpful, at least in my experience
