🚨| Mercedes, Wolff admits: “With the same car, Russell would have been ahead of Kimi” — Toto Wolff acknowledged that George Russell's performance at the Japanese Grand Prix was hindered by a series of unfortunate events, including a malfunction in the W17's electrical system. Speaking to media, Wolff explained: “There was a bug in the electrical system, in the software. We thought we were giving him an advantage by distributing energy, but instead it caused him a super clipping, which means slowing down the machine. And that's where he unexpectedly lost his position over Leclerc.” “About George, therefore, we certainly cannot say that we are covered in glory.” — Reflecting on the race's challenges, Wolff noted the impact of setup decisions made during qualifying: “The race went all against him. Starting with the set-up decisions in qualifying, which put the car in a much worse window than in FP3.” “We still don't give the two drivers the best tools to start, but today there were also driver mistakes.” “We had to make the pit decision to cover ourselves from Leclerc and there the luck went to Kimi's side, who was very fast at that stage. It was bad luck for George, who lost positions at that time.” “Even with an important pace advantage, when you're in traffic, everything becomes very difficult. That was George's problem today.” — Addressing the perceived performance gap between Russell and Antonelli, Wolff clarified: “With the same number of cars it would have been a much closer story, but when we had to go fast, we had to choose whether to protect the position from Leclerc, while Kimi was shooting with perfect times. That was the difference. George didn't have a perfect car.” — Despite Antonelli's lead in the Drivers' World Championship, Wolff maintained that both drivers remain free to compete: “We are three races into the season and the car is good. We must continue to give drivers a tool to win or fight in front. Then, later on, we'll see how the points will be scored and if we need to do anything. But at this stage they are both totally free.” #kimiantonelli 🇮🇹 #georgerussell 🇬🇧 #mercedesamgf1 🇩🇪 #f12026 VIA: [AutoRacer IT]

🚨| Risk of accidents for charging, Antonelli: "Not easy to fix, but those who defend must be correct — Andrea Kimi Antonelli discussed the dangers of battery charging on a straight line, especially after the accident between Bearman and Colapinto. Speaking to the Italian press, Antonelli remarked: “I didn't get a good look at what happened to Ollie, they told me. It's definitely not easy. For example, even with Leclerc, I used a lot more battery at points where he didn't use it at all and in these cases we find ourselves with a significant difference in speed. Even those who defend must be correct and avoid making risky moves at the last minute, because there is a risk of situations like today's.” — Antonelli emphasized that the side effects of battery charging are inherent to the new regulations and not easily solvable. He explained: “I don't think it's something that easy to fix. Each team decides how and where to use the battery. Precisely for this reason, on the part of the drivers, it is necessary to be respectful in this regard and not to do the last maneuvers, it is too risky. Sometimes the difference in speed is so great that you don't even notice it, you only understand at the last minute that the other person is about to overtake you. Maybe you come out of the curve half a second apart and you would never think that in a few hundred meters you would already arrive on your side. It's not easy to manage.” — The FIA is aware of the issue and plans to review the regulations. A statement from the Federation indicated: “All interested parties agreed on the need for a structured review after the initial phase of the season, in order to collect and analyze sufficient data.” — The April break will provide the FIA and teams with the opportunity to conduct simulations and determine the best course of action to address the problem. #kimiantonelli 🇮🇹 #olliebearman 🇬🇧 #f12026 VIA: [formulapassion]

I hate that I have to explain this to some retards following me. Read carefully & learn: It's bad for Iran because a near-normal daily traffic level (90 ships) signals that their strategic blockade of the Strait of Hormuz is failing or being rolled back, stripping them of their main leverage in the ongoing US/Israel-Iran war. Here's the context and why this matters specifically for Iran (as of late March 2026): - The strait is Iran's ultimate pressure tool. The Strait of Hormuz is the world's most critical oil chokepoint—normally ~100–135 vessels per day, carrying ~20% of global oil and LNG. Iran has used it for decades as a threat (and now a weapon) in conflicts. Since the US and Israel began strikes on Iran around late February/early March 2026, Iran retaliated by effectively closing or severely restricting the strait: attacking ships, demanding vetting/fees by the IRGC, turning vessels back, and forcing "dark" transits or reroutes. This dropped traffic to a tiny fraction—only ~90 ships *total* from March 1–15 (down 95%, or ~6 per day). - The blockade was Iran's best card. By choking the flow, Iran aimed to: - Spike global oil prices (already soaring toward $150–200+/barrel in some scenarios). - Cause energy shortages and supply-chain chaos for adversaries (US allies in Europe/Asia) and neutral parties like China and India. - Force concessions, a ceasefire, or sanctions relief while the world felt the pain. - 90 ships in one day (March 30 reports) is a surge back toward normal—and a strategic loss. Recent claims (including from journalists and pro-Iran accounts) describe ~90 vessels, including tankers, now "flowing freely" or under Iranian "protection" after quiet deals, Pakistani-flagged allowances, or Trump announcements about more ships being let through. This isn't "business as usual" for Iran's position—it's a breakdown of the chokehold. Traffic had been near-zero or single digits even into late March despite Iran's toll/fee attempts. A big daily number like 90 shows: - Iran can't (or won't) sustain the full closure under military/diplomatic pressure. - The world is adapting or negotiating bypasses/deals without giving Iran what it wants. - Their retaliation is being neutralized, reducing global economic pain and thus Iran's bargaining power. In short, low traffic = Iran winning the economic-war game. High traffic today = the game is slipping away, exposing limits to their control and weakening their position in the conflict. Note: Some older headlines about "90 ships" referred to the *cumulative* low total early in the war, but current reports frame today's figure as evidence of surging/resumed flow.
Zagonel@Zagonel85

You idiot. The U.S. wants Iranian oil transiting the strait & hitting the market. The fact that a SINGLE ship transits this strait means Iran, is in fact, LOSING!
