Following the government's announcement today raising the thresholds for APR/BPR, NFU President Tom Bradshaw (@ProagriLtd) thanks the Labour and opposition MPs who have voiced the concerns of their farming constituents and lobbied for changes to APR/BPR proposals.

Yesterday, the NFU @wwf_uk and @RSPCA_PATeam held an event in Parliament to discuss introducing core standards. This would ensure that British farmers aren't undermined by imports which don't meet our standards. We'd like to thank all attendees and @MattWestern_ for sponsoring.

(7/7) Shadow Minister @_RobbieMoore asked the SoS what focus was going on the delivery of the new SFI scheme. Responding, the SoS said the SFI was being reformed to ensure that more farmers could receive funding.

Yesterday NFU President @ProagriLtd met @danny__kruger to discuss challenges facing food and farming, including the impact of the Middle East conflict, the steps needed to unlock investment in UK agriculture, and our campaign for core standards for food produced here and abroad.

(3/3) @ChrisVincemp raised how farm equipment theft and fly tipping is having a devastating effect on farming families. We were pleased to hear the Minister mention the Equipment Theft Act which the NFU lobbied for and new powers for local authorities to tackle fly tipping.

(5/5) @MayaEllisMP raised her constituents who have been forced to sell assets or intensify production due to dramatic drops in milk prices. Having lobbied for dairy fairer dealing obligations, we were pleased the Minister referenced them as a way of stopping unfair market deals.
