Great example of a holly tree that has been shaped by #NewForest livestock. Holly is a vital part of their diet and the clear browse-line shows how far they can reach to nibble the leaves!

The long circuit of Beaulieu Heath (E) from home, 10km, almost 2.5hrs and 30 species of birds. Best find though was Poronia punctata, near Starpole Pond, a rare fungus on pony dung, NF is the UK stronghold for it. @newforestranger @BirdTrack @hantsfungi
