Raw Material Supply Scheme Awareness Camp was organized by NHDC at Gangtok, Sikkim. Nearly 100 participants, including weavers, state govt and WSC officials attended the event.

NHDC organised a Swachhata workshop at Government Co-ed Secondary School, Mahavir Enclave, New Delhi, with the objective of raising awareness about hygiene among the students.The students also conducted a Swachhata awareness march, carrying placards bearing short slogans related to cleanliness.

The Special Handloom Expo & celebration of NHDC’s 43rd Foundation Day was graced by Hon’ble Minister of Textiles Shri Giriraj Singh, Smt Neelam Shami Rao, Secretary (Textiles), and Dr M Beena (DC Handloom), along with senior officials of MoT, weavers and other stakeholders. Cmde Rajiv Ashok (retd), the Managing Director, presented an Annual Report providing a comprehensive overview of the organisation’s key achievements during the year, highlighting major initiatives & outreach efforts. With children as the target audience, a multi-lingual handloom comic book was released. Distinguished weavers were felicitated recognising their contribution to promoting India’s weaving practices. A Paridhan Pradarshini showcasing natural dyed garments further brought a celebratory feel to the event. In his address, Shri Giriraj Singh, HMoT while praising NHDC for the tasks undertaken, set out a roadmap for the future of the CPSE. પાત્ર બૂનકરોને યાર્ન પાસબુક વિતરણ કરવામાં આવી. આ પહેલ બૂનકર સમુદાય દ્વારા વ્યાપક રીતે પ્રશંસાઈ અને સ્થાનિક અખબારોમાં પ્રકાશિત થઈ. પ્રવૃત્તિ હસ્તકાંઠા (Handloom) કચેરીના સહયોગથી સમર્થિત છે.

બૂનકરોને GI નોંધણી, દસ્તાવેજીકરણ અને GI માન્યતાના લાભો અંગે વિગતવાર માર્ગદર્શન આપવામાં આવ્યું. અધિકારીઓએ જણાવ્યું કે GI માન્યતા કોટા ડોરિયાની પ્રામાણિકતા સુનિશ્ચિત કરશે, બજાર ઓળખ મજબૂત બનાવશે, માંગમાં વધારો કરશે અને વધુ લાભ આપશે.

એનએચડીસીએ કોટેના કૈથૂનમાં “કોટા ડોરિયા” માટે જીઆઈ (GI) અધિકૃત વપરાશકર્તા કેમ્પનું આયોજન કર્યું. આ કેમ્પમાં 250 બૂનકરો અને હિતધારકોએ ભાગ લીધો, જે GI માન્યતા પ્રત્યે સમુદાયની મજબૂત રસ દર્શાવે છે.
