Some remarks of mine in a recent election speech in Kerala are being deliberately misinterpreted. Even so, I express my sincere regret. It was never my intention to hurt the sentiments of the people of Gujarat for whom I have always had and will continue to have the highest of respect. हाल ही में केरल में दिए गए मेरे एक चुनावी भाषण की कुछ टिप्पणियों को जानबूझकर गलत तरीके से पेश किया जा रहा है। फिर भी, मैं अपनी तरफ से जिम्मेदारी के साथ खेद व्यक्त करता हूँ। गुजरात के लोगों के प्रति मेरे मन में हमेश सर्वोच्च सम्मान रहा है और हमेशा रहेगा। वहाँ के लोगों की भावनाओं को आहत करना मेरा कभी उद्देश्य नहीं था।

પહેલા મહુઆ મોઈત્રા અને હવે મલ્લિકાર્જુન ખડગે. રાજકીય નિષ્ફળતાનો આક્રોશ આખા સમુદાય કે ક્ષેત્રનુ અપમાન કરીને કાઢવો એ અસંવેદનશીલ અને અસ્વીકાર્ય છે. તમને જીતાડે છે એ સમજદાર, ન જીતાડે એ મૂર્ખ આ માન્યતા જ લોકતંત્રમાં વાહિયાત છે. આલોચના નીતિઓની હોય, વિચારધારાની હોય પણ કોઈ જાતિ, પ્રદેશ કે સમુદાયને નિશાન બનાવવુ એ નફરત છે. ‘મહોબ્બત કી દુકાન’ની વાતો કરનારાને તો આ ન જ શોભે. એકને સારા બતાવવા બીજાને નીચા દેખાડવા આ કેવી રાજનીતિ છે?
