Your follower count on X doesn't mean what it used to. You might have 10k or 100k, but I'm sure you've noticed the relative engagement plummet, especially if you share links. Even 6 months ago, the per-follower engagement was orders of magnitude higher on the other place (kucharski.substack.com/p/science-soci…) - it's now even better. Once I ditched the attachment to illusory metrics, I found a much better experience elsewhere. 2. These organisations and outlets continue to post here because people like you engage with them and/or they haven't fully appreciated the implications of (1) above. Many are now on the other place - move the conversations there and I doubt you'll look back.
