From a financial perspective- I might be wrong, but my gut tells me that this race of which drug causes the most weight loss is going to end quite soon. I wager that the new one coming along - Retadrutide - won’t be favoured by a lot of people who buy the drug privately. 30% weight loss is HUGE and whilst we need that degree of weight loss for severe obesity, most people who are buying it for themselves are not in the severe category. This is a race to the bottom. I think the winner will be the drug that causes metabolically safe weight loss, sustainably with minimal side effects. That won’t be the one that causes the most weight loss. Happy to be wrong!
