🎄CHRISTMAS IN JULY ON DECK ♨️ @NJSpotlightNews analysis found that when it comes to NJ municipalities, counties & schools, Democrat-held districts received OVER 96% of legislative budget add-ons. NINETY-SIX PERCENT! The top five are pictured below. TBH, #1 is a real outlier. Senator Teresa Ruiz (Newark) pulled in nearly $134 MILLION in legislative add-ons — roughly 67% HIGHER than the next closest legislator at $80M. And not lost on us… #3 is also Dem Assembly Budget Chair, Eliana Pintor Marin. Newark. ONE CAVEAT: Buried within these massive pork lists are sometimes legitimate statewide projects or regional infrastructure needs that get lumped in with the vanity pork. These run cover & are the "go-to" defense when slush is called out. Those should be separated out & properly funded right out of the gate. 🚨Official Statement of Chairwoman Christine Giordano Hanlon in Response to Democrats’ Reaction to NJGOP Election Integrity Task Force Announcement🚨 Last week’s announcement regarding the launch of the NJGOP Election Integrity Task Force prompted a puzzling hostile reaction from Democrat leaders across New Jersey. Considering that voters of all political affiliations support fair, secure and transparent elections, it is troubling that state and local Democrats would oppose efforts aimed at improving the election process and strengthening public confidence. Why does the concept of election integrity provoke such hostility from Democrat leaders? It was just two weeks ago that Governor Sherrill's hand-picked Attorney General Jennifer Davenport  stated that her office was "determined to ensure elections are fair and that their outcomes are determined by the will of the voters" following the guilty plea by a Democratic mayoral candidate for forging and submitting 1000 fraudulent voter registration forms in an effort to swing an election. Do the same state and county Democrat chairs now consider AG Davenport a MAGA-conspiracy theorist? In addition to dismissing valid concerns about election integrity , these Democrat leaders made misleading statements about the voting process that demonstrates a lack of understanding as to how New Jersey’s election system actually operates. Voter registration laws, policies and regulations are established by Democrats in the Legislature and administered through the New Jersey Division of Elections under the Secretary of State.  Election integrity should not be a partisan issue. Democrats and Republicans alike should welcome any effort that strengthens public trust and ensures that every legal vote is counted fairly and accurately. Protecting the integrity of our elections should unite voters and elected officials across party lines, not divide them. There are clearly outstanding issues that need to be addressed, and the NJGOP supports taking a proactive approach to ensure elections are fair and outcomes are determined by the will of New Jersey voters.

Indeed, the governor has only exacerbated our state’s affordability crisis which continues to shatter the American Dream for New Jerseyans. Gov. Sherrill’s whopping $67 billion budget is the largest in state history, despite New Jersey staring at a $3 billion deficit, one of today’s biggest budget gaps nationwide. With no plan to fund this record spending, New Jersey taxpayers will be forced to foot the bill once again while struggling more than ever, just like they have the last eight years. Aside from continuing to pay the highest property taxes in the country, New Jersey families face an energy crisis marked by some of the highest energy costs in the country. Our schools remain underfunded based on an unjust funding formula that the governor is upholding, and families face out-of-reach home prices and soaring inflation.
