Not totally sure that naming your most powerful model family the same name as the cosmic universe where Cthulu resides is totally the best idea but sure

"So this is an interesting question. Will LLMs reach the limits of data [they can get from human knowledge] and be superseded by things that can get more data just from experience rather than people? I expect there will be systems that could learn from experience and those could well perform much much better and be much more scalable." - Richard Sutton author of "The Bitter Lesson" last year on @dwarkesh_sp

The people sounding the loudest warnings about AI and jobs say they're trying to protect people but seem to me like they actually have way less faith in people.

Public perception of AI would be 200% better if we had a blanket ban on AI CEO's speaking to media.

People are wildly underestimating how fast knowledge workers are going to adapt to agents. Orgs might be slow but individuals are moving. Have some belief in people!

@Bobiliciousing Yes if you're doing a presentation where every word matters (like a pitch deck) I wouldn't choose these tools for that. Pitch decks for example are a never-ending glass chewing exercise of slowly endlessly improving tiny details. But for background slides, quick overviews etc...

@nlw Haven’t yet, mostly because the slides are adjunct to what really matters (your understanding and ability to deliver), and making slides helps mentally

I've completely switched to AI building platforms like Lovable and Replit to make slide presentations.

@nlw it’s so much better to make slides with html. how are you handling sharing, if you want a small group to have access?

This is the hardest and easiest its ever been to build a startup. No barriers to entry but also no moats is a wild combination that no one has fully recalibrated to yet.

@swyx I had an idea the other day for an AI project to look at the transcripts of all the top podcasts and newsletters and see who has been best at predicting things. Tricky but could be super fun.
