Earlier today, NORAD F‑16s intercepted a general aviation aircraft over Hagerstown, Maryland, at approximately 12:20 p.m. EDT. #NORAD recently conducted Exercise AMALGAM MUTE — a no-notice, life-fly exercise — to test the response capabilities of the Canadian NORAD Region. Guillot, commander North American Aerospace Defense Command (#NORAD) and U.S. Northern Command (#USNORTHCOM), visited Pituffik Space Base, Greenland following a week of engagements with Supreme Headquarters Allied Partners Europe (#SHAPE) in Mons, Belgium; the U.S. and Canadian Ambassadors to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (#NATO) in Brussels, Belgium; and the U.S. Ambassador to Denmark and the Danish Chief of Defense in Copenhagen, Denmark.  The discussions focused on Arctic security integration, based on close coordination with the Kingdom of Denmark and NATO. The Arctic is crucial to the security of all NATO Allies. #ArcticSecurity #StrongerTogether
