Years ago on a snowy day I walked in the woods behind the estate and became disoriented. Since it was getting dark I was hoping to ask for directions. A woman appeared as if from nowhere. We were utterly alone. "Are you lost, too?" I asked. She turned heel and ran. Still cringe.
