Preston Lions absolutely dominated St Albans last night. Have a look at these midfield runs from Cian Cuba. This is what happens when you have Mihailidis and Adekugbe behind you I think Preston have found a perfect balance in midfield, it allows Cuba to be at his creative best

@CommisionerGen Yeah it’s pretty much the same issues all season for Preston. They still don’t have their best team healthy. But think the squad isn’t amazing attacking wise

I think everyone (including myself) owe Hume City and Melb City an apology this season. Some amazing results this week against the two top teams in the league. Been playing some impressive football too. The season is long though, can they keep it up? #NPLVIC

@77Gtg87893 I think City have looked strong enough to continue. Every week their team has changed with major ins and outs and they’ve looked the same team tactically. They have an amazing coaching staff. And we saw this against Oakleigh, where they had no ALM players and got a result.

The most obvious pattern I saw was a Kieran Brown long pass to Thierry Swaby (02) who I thought was very direct and starred for Northcote. 2 goals came directly from this passage, which you’d like to think Max Clarke identified as a weakness in this Western United defense

Had a feeling we’d see at least one upset in #NPLVIC yesterday…😜 Huge win for St Albans which spices up the top of the table battle, as well as the bottom. Altona almost with a huge win down to 10 men as well. Some exciting results. One more #VPL1 game tonight… will be good

@CommisionerGen @footballvic To be honest, I think this is one of Victory’s strongest sides this season. Yes, it’s much younger, but the replacements are really good players, if not better than who they’re replacing in my eyes. Tanfara (08) and Dimovski (09) will help immensely in build up 👌 Let’s see

@77Gtg87893 Still think Preston haven’t fully clicked yet too which is crazy. Haven’t nailed their midfield situation, don’t have a starting striker, perhaps a winger away too. Nigro’s inability to play on his left foot is frustrating at times

@nplphilanthropy It’s a long season. I still think we see recession from Hume and Bentleigh. Gully obviously in big trouble, depending on how this new coach goes. Thunder, Dinamo, Altona could go down too. It’s so hard to predict man 😂
