When I started at NPR 25 years ago things were very different. We were in the last part of the heyday of audio engineering, since we were still an analog shop.  It took an acknowledged amount of skill to do what we did, & the bar was high. Then digital came along.

This is to ensure the information is factual & the words sound like they’re coming from him. Nobody did it better.

@_KennyUong_ @metrolosangeles Something similar happened to me taking the old 439 express to downtown from fox hills mall. Drivers wanted me to pay cash for the express section since they couldn’t figure out how to take it out of the cash on my TAP card. They just needed to confirm the zone on their console.

This happened to me a lot in the past when some @metrolosangeles operators kept insisting that they don’t honor Metrolink (SoCal’s regional rail network) tickets as valid fare. There’s literally a button that says “Metrolink” on the operator control unit!! 😐

For most of my first 22 years in LA, I’d rarely see the Olympic Cauldron at the Coliseum lit & never at night. However, 3 times in the last 3 months I’ve seen it lit for any old reason like an EDC type concert at Expo Park. For whatever reason, it does make me happy. #MyDayInLA

@TedRogersLA @EarthLink Yikes. I have been with EarthLink since I moved to LA in 2002. These days, I get AT&T fiber through them. It’s sad to hear they are treating you badly.

Seriously, @EarthLink has the worst customer service on this planet, and probably any other. Been trying all week to get someone, anyone, to respond via chat, text or phone. But apparently, they let all their staffers go, and don't care enough to use AI.
