All data is gathered from publicly available information - mostly from NRL.com, rugbyleagueproject.org and wikipedia.com. No guarantees are made for the accuracy of data published. I do this purely for fun, as an NRL fan.

@LeagueEyeTest The consistency in Jase's stints pleases me greatly but seems to anger commentators and fans.

Something I've wanted to for a while - visualise team interchange patterns, especially in light of Brisbane being the first team to use 30 players. Chart shows for each minute the % of games a player was on field for that minute. Red = high%, yellow = low %.

Subscription Required: How the Cowboys Are Governed While most clubs are member-driven, the Cowboys’ operations are effectively controlled by four “subscribing members”, a rare structure born out of financial crisis and News Limited intervention.

Adding to this - here's the % of minutes played with a margin of single score (<6) or more than three converted tries (>=19) since 2016 Lots of points doesn't always mean a more engaging product. Some things don't need fixing.

Missed tackles aren't a great stat, so I've tried add some meaningful context to them. Just how many metres do missed tackles concede & what % of them lead to line breaks/tries? You'll probably also want to apologise to Reed Mahoney as well. rugbyleagueeyetest.com/2025/02/13/app…

The Eye Test is back for the 2025 season. Being a complete sicko, I spent part of the summer rebuilding my Expected Metres model to include position & run type, allowing for far deeper analysis than before. rugbyleagueeyetest.com/2025/02/05/exp…

@LeagueEyeTest Scrap the black tie event - this would have to be celebrated in a dimly lit backyard in overalls or old footy shorts.

With the watering down of The Immortals concept, the Eye Test Hall of Fame is now the most exclusive & prestigious accolade a rugby league player can receive, with just three players inducted.
