No hate to OP but this take is really only said by people who like a very specific part of Monster Hunter. Basically the combat World and Wilds aren't doing the insane combat stuff GU and Rise has so it's created a divide between portable and mainline fans

@NSHarbinger @monsterhunter Basically im assuming its a rename of an arch tempered. As arch tempered are monsters who survive fights with hunters, royals are probably monsters who escape riders. Generally just 2x health, crazy aggro and more unpredictable

I love how Elder Dragons feel like legendary Pokémon in this game. Rare encounters, mysterious presence, and sudden weather changes just fit perfectly. If I didn’t know Monster Hunter, I’d 100% think Velkhana is a legendary Pokémon. #monsterhunterstories #monsterhunter

@Almighty_Enigma I think it’s because a separated update make people come back to play again because of the hype, so the game can stay alive for a longer period of times

Maybe I'm the dumb one but I really don't understand why player retention is so important to MH fans. So what if a game launched with all of its planned content, you run through it in like a month, and wait for the expansion/next release? How would that be a bad thing?
