@dizdarm Congratulations! Honoured to have had the opportunity to work alongside Mr Dill, building leadership capacity across a community of schools. So generous, kind, reflective and knowledgeable. Enjoy your retirement, Brian!

“To make a real difference, the government should have pumped resources … to identify gifted and high-potential students outside the selective school system and extend them.” <- A great piece by @JordsBaker on the impacts of selective schools. smh.com.au/national/nsw/p…

The NSW Minister for Finance just claimed that a $240,000 salary increase isn’t a pay rise for his executives - it’s a “recalibration” This is the same man who just gave essential workers an effective pay cut. If that doesn’t show you how out of touch they are, nothing will.

@Maurs_5 Exemplifies everything that is wrong with the sample units accompanying the new K-2 syllabus! Teachers know their students and "design to the edges". Generic programs can't.

Governments over the years have spent money on resources - when do they learn from past mistakes? Teachers need time to collaborate and plan. We need more teachers and they need less f2f teaching with more time each week for preparation and planning
Natasha Watt@tash_watt

We choose our teaching methods according to what our students need and where they need to go. We write our resources and lessons alongside those decisions. Fundamental to teaching is our work to make evidenced based pedagogical decisions. We need time. theconversation.com/this-is-like-b…

Standing up to a government that doesn’t get the total exhaustion of principals & teachers. The lack of casuals & planning time is pushing us over the edge. It’s time to act @Dom_Perrottet. We need the support. @nswppa #MoreThanThanks
