It’s great to see that the @WAGovernment @RogerCookMLA has committed to improving its state cat laws to enable local governments to prevent pet cats from roaming. Cat containment is a win-win-win solution for wildlife, cats and public health. Cats kept securely contained indoors or in a run live longer, healthier lives, have fewer expensive vet bills and are far less likely to pass diseases to their owners. Containment also protects wildlife - in Western Australia, more than 100,000 native animals are killed by roaming pet cats every day. Very concerned that Shooters seeking a "right to hunt" which may end up as a right to have pest populations available to hunt. Like @VictorianLabor maintaining the deplorable protected status of a million feral deer
