@wholemars Looking at old data I have. HW3 production ran for about 4 years. 2019-2022. That's about 3.2M cars that can add FSD. Take rates were reported to be much higher back then when we thought FSD would be solved much sooner. I estimated 1.3M bought full purchase.

There are probably around 3.5 million hardware 3 Teslas worldwide. Bringing V14 to these cars will be an absolutely huge deal. Millions of people will get to experience what the latest FSD is capable of.

@wholemars Out of those 3.5 millions, only less than 10% of them purchased FSD. The majority is those 90%! They are all excited to get V14 lite! That’s it, end of the story!

To all HW3 owners, I understand your frustration. I see many people saying that it’s a lie from Elon and Tesla, etc., but I believe rather that I wouldn’t call it a lie.
