'Mankind' is reminiscent of a european supremacy and patriarchal belief that women were property and non-whites (Indigenous/Enslaved Africans) weren't human. Context matters.

It's doing what it's meant to do as part of a vast ecological system.
People have lived for 1000s of years with deep respect for the ocean without fear.

This amazing photographer who has been going into Women’s Prisons like the one in Cook County and lifting the women in there up by taking photos of them after they get a makeover so they can get their confidence back and feel good about themselves before they’re freed.

If you're asking 'what about' men? You're not celebrating these women. So what is your intention? Are you asking:
-to decenter women
-bc you're unaware of current programs for men
-bc you haven't thought about the psychosocial needs of incarcerated men before
-to be harmful
