On Tuesday, Pope Leo explained why he decided to carry the Cross himself today along the entire Via Crucis : “I would like to invite all people of goodwill, people of faith, all Christians to walk together”.

BREAKING: Pope Leo XIV kicks the MAGA hornet's nest on Holy Thursday by condemning the "imperialist occupation" a day after Trump delivered a deranged speech in which he refused to end his Iran War. At the same time, Israel is expanding into Lebanon, seizing territory and bombing civilians with American bombs. The entire Middle East is burning thanks to Trump and Netanyahu. Leo is a godsend in these dark times. This is what really religious leadership looks like: espousing eternal truths that flow from one's faith while simultaneously applying those convictions to the contemporary political landscape. While Pope Leo is calling for compassion and peace, the Evangelical leaders that support Trump are comparing him to Jesus as he slaughters women and children overseas. We know whose side we're on.
