@WTSmith17 Incalculable numbers of people have died under capitalism. Does this make it disreputable for anyone to say that they believe in capitalism?

I confronted world famous philosopher, Slavoj Zizek, on why he calls himself a communist when over 100 million people have died as a direct result of communism… He couldn’t provide an understandable answer. Either he is just a lot smarter than me, or this is all nonsense.

I get the point, but that cuts both ways. “Context” can inform, or it can become a polite little muzzle. The issue isn’t whether nuance matters. It does. The issue is who gets tagged for missing it, and who gets treated as merely “complex.” A short political post is not a policy paper. It is an argument. If the argument is wrong, refute it. If the facts are missing, add them. But calling every sharp generalization “misleading context” risks becoming tone-policing with a dashboard. And yes, complex issues get flattened online. True. But governments also flatten reality every day with slogans like “shared values,” “affordability,” “climate action,” and “investment.” Somehow those get treated as leadership language, while citizens pushing back get treated like they failed a graduate seminar. My point is simple: apply the same standard upward. If ordinary people need context, so do the people running the country.

@bonnewillbonne @McInnis_4MLA @missey_em Eby is compromised by the CCP. The CCP had an obvious hand in developing UNDRIP as a nation-state backdoor to achieve belt and road milestones. It is far easier for them to develop resources with simple negotiations direct with FN, and leverage the existing FIPA agreement.

🚨BREAKING🚨 American Tribes using DRIPA/UNDRIP/8.1 Interpretation Act to challenge approvals of major B.C. mining projects. This is happening on several fronts by several tribes. From Alaska to the Kootenays. The NDP government is desperate to keep this under wraps. ➡️Below is an Alaskan Tribe seeking to disrupt the ESKAY CREEK gold mine in the Northwest. Numerous references to DRIPA and Eby’s 8.1 amendment to the Interpretation Act as leverage to have projects cancelled. This is now a sovereignty crisis. We are being duped by the NDP. DRIPA may tear our province apart by US Tribes who are sophisticated and extremely well funded. A crisis the NDP is hoping to keep secret. The NDP’s answer to this crisis is to negotiate for 6 months about an unknown outcome. In the meantime, court cases pile up, trials will begin. I can’t believe what I’m witnessing. #cdnpoli #bcpoli

@Zellchair You should consider applying for an analyst position at H.C. Wainwright & Co. If you are correct, this will look very good on a resume. Cheers,

No cancer for me. I had a CT scan today four my four-year follow-up and it was all clear. In 2022, I underwent a brutal course of chemo for a Stage II seminoma. I never could have imagined feeling quite that horrendous as I did after the last cycle. It took me a year to recover, but I ultimately did. Although I have neuropathy (my feet burn) and I have trouble remembering names and stuff. I have just one more scan in a year and then this particular cancer show will take its final curtain, provided I have no recurrence. But the chance is like 1%. The summer I was in chemo happened to coincide with my monekypox typo, which was when I crossed the 10K Twitter follower rubicon. Back then that meant something. A lot of people were really kind to me on here at the time, like Mia Farrow. And some people were shitty! Yes, I carry a grudge. Some people have no limits to how awful they can be.

@ShalinSShah @Zellchair Opaleye Management returning to the commons with a 1m size stake averaging 3.6 per share is one of the largest signal/noise events to have happened to the company in recent weeks. The fact that Jim Silverman swallowed the previous portfolio hit, and is back again? Conviction.

The editors and journalists who used digitally manipulated images of children with congenital conditions to smear Jews as “baby killers” made racists feel comfortable attacking random Jews like this. The UK media have triggered the start of the demise of Jewish life in Britain.
Saul Sadka@Saul_Sadka

There’s a special place in hell for the editors & journalists who took Hamas’ photos of children with congenital conditions (and parents with double chins) and broadcast them to their already radicalized audience with the message, ‘Look what the Jews did.’ Remember their names.

Okay, I get that, but im not denying reality, I'm saying that we,as humans, don't understand many things. A male fetus is conceived as a XY male almost all the time. If that fetus doesn't receive 12 periods of androgens at the appropriate times, you won't have a male. If none you'll have a female, if too few you'll have a two seed child, or if they're not sufficient a voice won't lower. We don't understand how that affects the brain and it's perception of self. We absolutely know about the 12 surges in androgens, but we don't know what a undersupply would mean. We do know that testosterone levels in men have been dropping since the 70s and 80s. It's unclear why. Something is messing with our homone production and fluctuations. Because I don't know what's up and no one does, though people have theories, I withhold judgment on the issue. If it turns out that this is the result of a medical program, I don't want to be the person who persecuted the transaction person any more than I want to be the one who screamed retard in the face of an autistic child. Tolerance applies when no malice is present.

I am left of center, though the left today obviously no longer represents me, having devolved into a sickening morass of third-worldist racism and totalitarian mob behavior. I support gay rights, women's rights, and trans rights. I believe climate change is real and will pose a major challenge to human societies. I support a social welfare state compatible with economic prosperity and personal freedom. I support the rights of immigrants, and a reasonable immigration policy that keeps out criminals, Jew-haters, and terrorists. But my experience after October 7th taught me that antizionism is itself a form of discrimination and oppression. I was discriminated against, purged, harassed, and threatened with violence by antizionists. In the wake of that experience, I studied its history and analyzed its content. Antizionism is a hate movement. And if the Democratic Party wants any hope of maintaining an authentic commitment to human rights and equality, it must oppose it. It must reject the colonizer, apartheid, and genocide libels. It must recognize that Israel is an oppressed state on the regional and global stage. It must continue to fund the Iron Dome. It ought to continue supporting Israel regardless of its current government. And it must hold the true culprits — antizionists — accountable for the suffering of so many people across the Middle East.

@david_parker *the median REPORTED income* there, fixed it for you. It's why us fools who report all our income to the CRA are so pissed off that we have to chase assets (houses) with our after-tax dollars, when drug dealers and money launderers chase the same assets with their no-tax dollars.

The median income for a Canadian is $42,600 CAD a year. I have absolutely no clue how a person survives in the modern world on this kind of income. It is incomprehensible to me.

@Zellchair This perfectly describes what I've attempted to put to words over the past several months. The most antifragile investment in the Fortress conglomerate *at this time* appears to be $FBIOP It won't be the highest ROI, but it is the most certain to 2x. (My opinion, not advice).

@SheilaGreenfiel @adam_louis52328 I love Adam Louis-Klein and I am extraordinarily grateful for his voice in academia. My response was not an attack. Adam is free to believe what he wants to believe about gender ideology. I'm simply saying: I believe any denial of reality begets further denials of reality.

@SheilaGreenfiel @adam_louis52328 Both Antizionism and gender ideology share one similarity: they both run cover for their supporters as they, to varying degrees, indulge in the denial of reality.

@SheilaGreenfiel @adam_louis52328 I knew Oct. 7 was terrorism. @adam_louis52328 convinced me it was also indeed genocide. What got me to go all-in on defending Jews and "Zionists", was seeing people rip down posters of young hostages in 2024 on my bike ride to work. Reality informs me, not the internet.

@SheilaGreenfiel @adam_louis52328 "Get off the internet". You should know that every single one of my opinions is informed by Direct Real World interactions I have with both friends, family, and strangers in public. Unlike many, including Antizionists, who form their opinions in a curated, virtual Hyperreality.
