If you stopped using ChatGPT tomorrow it wouldn’t matter as that is only a fraction of what data centers are used for. Most of it is surveillance. But it ranges from everything from disease detection to pharmaceuticals to just a simple Google Search. And banning data centers is not gonna save the threat to our global water supply by any measure per most advocacy groups.
