Experiencing male puberty as a trans girl really is quite traumatising, I'm not sure I'd go as far as to agree with the people likening it to r*pe, but seeing your body change into something which just isn't you, with very little way to stop it, is genuinely anguishing and distressing. I was admittedly only on the waiting list for a year before I got puberty blockers but that year was one of the lowest points of my life, traveling 2+ hours every couple of months to have an appointment with the gender service, praying they would finally prescribe meds and leaving empty handed and feeling dejected, doing anything I could to affirm my gender and fight male puberty but it feeling like a constant losing battle, my worst memory is hiding in my bedroom, spending ages epilating my face until it was left red, blotchy and bleeding in some areas, crying my eyes out and trying to power through the pain, because the gender dysphoria was even more agonising
