Blocked me because I didn’t agree with his opinion on cancelling his season ticket unless Ashton leaves. Fans are ridiculous. Well he’s not a fan tbh #itfc
@DaRamblingMan i agree maybe they will again IDK or they will let be and move on, people will rant and moan then eventually move on, like when SA took over newcastle there was noise what about human rights for a bit now nothing.
@NW1Stephen Agreed it was a fucking stupid thing to do right from the start. But now we have conflicting evidence from the club and The Atlantic report. Why hasn't the club either admitted it did what it did or refuted the Atlantic? Unreal bad optics. Terrible decisions at #itfc
Ashton and his Farage antics being reported in the New York Times and still some #itfc fans are telling us it's just the wet wipes talking about it. Way to divide the fanbase! And how did it benefit the club????
@DaRamblingMan ive always said it was a stupid thing to do, but we are where we are where we go from here as fans is up to us nobody else we want to carry it on and keep politics on our timeline some will i just dont want it, no matter where it started from cause i cant change that
@NW1Stephen So you agree that the fans shouldn't have been put in this position by Ashton and Reform shouldn't have been given the freedom of Portman Road. Thank you.
@DaRamblingMan yes i know, but they are all choices by all those people whether left or right, nobody made them type it or forced them to do it even angry you choose to do, and id rather not see either cause for me there are more important things, yes fans never started but they carry it on
@NW1Stephen Wake up Stephen. Have you seen what has happened to the #itfc timeline? Utter horror show with politics now a reason to start calling people "fascist" or "lefty wet wipe". You do you, sure, but please realise the damage that's been done here.
@DaRamblingMan but thats a choice as people we choose to talk about it we dont need to, nobody knows who i support as a political party and never will, i choose to tell people and the same can be done here situations may happen people still dont know unless i say
@NW1Stephen It's split the fanbase. It's not "if they allow it". It's like Brexit. Suddenly the talk is all about which political party you support, not what football team you support. I can't believe you're struggling with this.
@DaRamblingMan till the club say it was all about supporting reform and we never wamted to engage with other parties and even though there was nothing to gain we were doing it anyway as a fan i have to believe there was no malintent
@NW1Stephen So let me know when you get a chance what POSSIBLE positive things could have ever come out of Ashton meeting with Reform at our club with a few games left in the season. I'll wait.
@DaRamblingMan but i say again it splits the fanbase if the fanbase allow it there were people saying things i dont agree with thats fine but they are still fans and ill support them and the club
@NW1Stephen You miss the point again and again and again. Why would Ashton do this to our club at this point in the season? What possible benefit? Instead it's just spliced the fanbase. Wake up.
@DaRamblingMan i gave you evidence its not good enough for you seems the only evidence you want is evidence that supports what you want, ok ill say this them we fk up reform are crap sack ashton is that better
@NW1Stephen Daft? I think you've missed the point. The CLUB DIDN'T NEED TO DO ANYTHING WITH ANY POLITICAL PARTY. So why did Ashton do this with Reform? There's not a shred of evidence that they were the only club in the country doing this for every party either. Source???????
@NW1Stephen Stephen, these are local elections, nothing to do with our club, and can you show me one other football club that has hosted any political party like this in the last month or two? I'll wait.
@DaRamblingMan there are elections in a month thats why MPs are coming now and not last year they only appear when they want you to vote that prob explains the timing
@DaRamblingMan i honestly think he was going to invite all parties and meet who came, did he think it looked good well if the tories or labour had come first dont think we would be asking that question
@DaRamblingMan it came from the club to talksport so jim white is not a journo when he reached out to the club for comment but the athletic is when they never spoke to the club as far as i can see
@DaRamblingMan we know for a fact he met reform and the club said the tories were coming so what else can they say meeting more than one party does kinda sound apolitical to me
@NW1Stephen Yet he doesn't regret. Club issued a response a couple of days ago pretending it was "apolitical" yet now it turns out Ashton invited Reform and had lunch and bought them shirts and afforded them time to create their socials. Regret? Does he?
@DaRamblingMan im aware but it did im sure if MA could turn back time he would but he cant, so whats done is done better to stay together and move on and focus on the league and not bloody politics, weve all done things we regret.
@NW1Stephen Stephen, the point is it didn't need to happen, has created a shit toxic environment within our own fanbase, and there's no tangible benefit at all. Simple.
@DaRamblingMan MA might have started the fire but fans are the ones putting more and more wood on it making it bigger and bigger so IMO plenty of blame to go around, we are only divided if we choose to be so.
@DaRamblingMan only if we as fans allow it we stay united it doesnt have to only if we want this to divide us it will, seems like some do well then its on them too
@DaRamblingMan well then thats how it will affect our season yes the club might have messed up but were making it a long term issue for what someone to get sacked which is prob not going to happen so what for then to feel better if it messes up our season i wont and it wont be all on the club
