Rounds of rainfall are forecast tonight and continuing late this week into the weekend. We expect minimal runoff and only responses on the smaller, flashier basins in North and East Texas with no significant river flooding. #txwx #txflood

Severe storms expected in Southern Region today through at least Friday. Storms on Friday have potential for very large hail (greater than 2+ inches) and strong tornadoes (EF-2 or greater). Please stay weather aware over the next several days.

Severe weather chances will increase this week. A level 2 out of 5 risk (Slight) is currently forecast from Wednesday to Saturday. Forecast specifics remain uncertain, but an extended period of active severe weather appears likely.

A pattern shift will support increasing severe weather chances starting the middle of next week & beyond. Mid-level troughing in the west, w/ 60+°F dewpoints in the east should result in an extended period of active severe weather from the S Plains to SE & perhaps OH Valley
