Overnight Tuesday, volunteers hit the streets across New York City for the annual Homeless Outreach Population Estimate, known as the HOPE count, surveying streets and public spaces to estimate how many people are living unsheltered and connect them with services.

Last night, we hit our target for volunteers and canvassed all 5 boroughs overnight for #HOPE2026! The HOPE Count is a citywide effort led by the NYC Department of Social Services to estimate the number of unsheltered residents. #HOPE2026 on.nyc.gov/4bhmKVU
