Take it from someone who works with, advises, imports and implements pricing with these manufacturers at a top level - if it was possible we would have done it already. There is a reason why it is one of the most imported products we consume. The climate and land is not suitable here and it is one of the worst low paying jobs to ensure it stays affordable. Period. Full stop. Go try some coffee that was 100% grown and processed in Florida or CA (where they are out of water btw) and come back with your findings. It tastes like ass compared to the coveted Arabica beans. Even American Trump thumping coffee companies like Black Rifle (who I also work with) know and accept this. We consume 3.2 BILLION pounds of coffee a year. Hawaii can make 11.5 MILLION pounds a year. It does not take a math wiz to see there is not enough surface land on all of the islands to make even 2% of that....yet you want to buy up more of the most expensive real estate in the country (Hawaii, CA, Florida) to grow cheap coffee?!? This not a matter of opinion, or Google, or whatever the fuck you want to make it out to be. This is the current state of my business I live and breathe every day. You won't catch me going into McDonalds to lecture you how to make my burger.

You cannot grow coffee and vanilla in the U.S. Vanilla takes 3 years to flower, 9 months per pod, needs hand pollination. Coffee needs 3–4 years to yield beans. Both demand tropical heat and humidity. Not hype - just ag reality.
