Here’s a conversation I just had while running some errands, about 20 minutes ago outside of 23 Federal Plaza here in Manhattan. There’s a lot you can say about these two, but in my estimation, they’re pretty archetypical of today’s modern left: inflammatory zeal complimented by intellectual void. These people will scream and cry until the cows come home, but when confronted with a small dose of harsh reality, they shudder and squirm. Shirkers. Idly waiting for the next cause and next banner. Sometimes I feel like Oppenheimer in this city. Alone. Reading. Troubled by visions of a hidden universe. Other times, I feel like I’m the last man standing before treble in Los Alamos. I care about the Manhattan Project. I just want to see this city survive.

BREAKING: At least one person is dead and more than a dozen others are injured after a van plowed into a crowd during Berlin's annual LGBTQ+ pride event. A manhunt is now underway for one or more suspects as authorities evacuate the area and investigate the attack.
