The specific situation where games regularly can’t end is not a necessary function of the format, it is because Rhystic is legal. Again, this is not to say that the problems with cEDH don’t exist, I get it, I don’t need to hear about it in the replies, but Rhystic is a PROBLEM.

I think it's really important we make our voices heard from the cEDH community. Thassa's Oracle is NOT, I repeat NOT a problem in cEDH. On the contrary it's a core part of what makes the format work. We need ways to end games. If you feel the same PLEASE speak up.

I'm just heartbroken with cEDH. I'm now sure that the people in charge of the format have absolutely no clue about it. Claiming Thassa's Oracle is the main win condition in cEDH and not banning rhystic because is 'iconic' is a fucking joke.

Look, idk if the cabal players could make it in today’s league. Was Zain good? Sure, but he’s a system player. He was jamming Necro against plumbers and electricians. Idk if he holds up in todays more physical cEDH landscape

@Zrob0 With less people traveling, it creates even less incentive to go to bigger events knowing that your friends from across the county won't be there. Tournament EDH is still growing, but I don't see it reaching a national scale again without topdeck or something similar. (3/3)

@Zrob0 Looking at the bigger picture, its a bit more bleak. With no large TO's like topdeck promoting nationwide growth and hyping up large events, there is little incentive to travel. Bigger events that do exist have low EV, esp for players that are unlikely to convert anyways. (2/3)

Can existing players have a convo with me on cedh tournaments right now? From my vantage point it looks kind of bleak. I don't see any event breaking 200+ since early March, all the way to the end of the year. Is it just a hyper local thing now with regions having 100ish person events every so often?
