Every few years, #protests break out in #Jordan. Although, they are often triggered by a rise in #prices (often over cost of #fuel), the grievances are much deeper and are an accumulation of #policies & actions taken (or not taken) by decision-makers over the past few years.

The protests are not getting any smaller in Iran.

This is unprecedented. In Khomein, the hometown of the founder of the Islamist regime, Khomeini, a museum and tomb on his name are being burned by protesters. Khomeini is detested in his own hometown. This is 43 years of Islamism in Iran #IranRevolution

Protests from Tunis (North) to Zarzis (South) spread out all over the country, their causes boil down to one thing: The Police state is making Tunisia an unpleasant place to live. Oppression, violence, abd carelessness is making people feel like they don't matter... #Tunisia

What is happening in Tunisia is not a return to authoritarianism as the media often portrays it, but a testament to the fraught process of the “transition to democracy” that favoured procedural reforms over substantive redistribution of decision-making power and wealth.

today Tehran lawyers organized a street protest,which is unprecedented. In the last week, medical doctors have also released two statements supporting protestors and condemning state violence.the support for the movement now has reached both white color and blue color occupations

What should we call the events in Iran? Is it a social movement, revolution, or what? So far we r observing two things, a broad protest movement that demands the end of state violence and subjugation of women's bodies and an end to the autocratic rule of the Islamic Republic. 🧵
