I see HG features as well. If HG comp >5%, then call high-grade papillary urothelial ca. If HG comp <5%, call LG PUC w/ focal (give%) HG component These borderline PUCs have shown greater risk of progression (PMID: 37134243) I find in grading non-inv PUC, non-#GUPath people frequently tend to undergrade.

Radiology in India is safer than many branches right now. No regret in accepting that I was wrong. People often err. Image is a very hard medical domain to crack compared to language. Most of our data is still siloed. AI needs a lot of local data to do well. Choose radiology! It’s a great branch considering the current situation.

Over the last few hours, a lot has been said and written about an incident at Goa Medical College today involving and suspending a doctor on duty. I feel it is important to address this directly, not just as your Health Minister, but as someone deeply committed to ensuring that no citizen is ever denied basic medical care, especially the elderly who deserve our utmost respect and attention. I received a message from a concerned family member about how a senior citizen already in pain and medically advised to receive daily injections was refused the injection at GMC casualty on a public holiday. What made the matter worse was that the casualty had minimal patient load at the time, and yet, a simple act of compassion and care was withheld. I found this deeply upsetting. Yes, as the Health Minister, I did intervene and I accept that my tone and words could have been more measured. I’m not above reflection or criticism. I take full responsibility for how I communicated, and I assure you, such an approach will not be repeated. However, what I will not apologise for is standing up for a patient who was denied care. Doctors hold a noble position in society, and most of them at GMC serve with great dedication. But when arrogance seeps into duty, when compassion is replaced with indifference, it is my responsibility to take action. Because if we let such behaviour pass unaddressed, we send a message that it is acceptable to deny a senior citizen or any other person medical help. That cannot happen in a government hospital that is meant to serve the public. There is often outrage highlighted on the same media platforms and among public when things go wrong at GMC “Doctors don’t care, nurses don’t listen, no one takes responsibility. We were made to wait for basic treatment.” And rightly so. But when corrective action is taken, it is equally important that we support efforts to fix the system, not tear them down. I did what I did in defence of a helpless, elderly woman. And I will continue to speak up, act, and fight for the rights of every patient who walks into our hospital. Let us strive together for better services, more empathy, and a culture of healing that respects both the medical profession and the patients we are here to serve. @prudentgoa @InGoa24x7

During the broadcast with Prudent Media last night, I openly extended my heartfelt apology to Dr. Rudresh Kuttikar for the harsh words spoken by me during my visit to GMC. In the heat of the moment, my emotions overtook my expression, and I deeply regret the manner in which I addressed the situation. It was never my intention to undermine or disrespect the dignity of any medical professional. Doctors hold a sacred and noble position in our society. They work tirelessly to heal, to comfort, and to save lives. I hold the highest respect for their contribution to our state. While I may have erred in my communication, my intent was always to ensure that no patient is denied timely care and that our public health system remains responsive and compassionate. However, I am equally concerned about the disruption in services at Goa Medical College, which is now impacting thousands of innocent patients. The public is bearing the brunt of this situation, and I urge all our doctors to reflect on the larger responsibility we share the welfare of our people. This issue is now unfortunately being politicised, turning a professional matter into a political confrontation. That is not the path we should follow. Let us not allow the sanctity of GMC and its service to the people be diminished by external agendas. Our focus must remain steadfast on healing and helping. I appeal to our doctors to return to duty with the same passion and commitment that defines their profession. Disservice to the people of Goa, in any form, cannot be justified. Let us all rise above this moment, reaffirm our shared commitment to public health, and work together to ensure that no patient suffers due to misunderstandings or misplaced priorities. @visrane Rather than posting here. Go and apologize to the doctor directly, speak to him like a normal person . And don't justify ur behavior at all. U did not act like a dignified human being when you insulted a duty doctor for a trivial matter which is not a casualty issue.

@visrane Shame on such arrogance from politicians humiliating doctors. If you are so concerned about VIT b12 injection, set up additional injections OPD during public holidays. Casualty is only for emergency not for vitamin injections. And your tone and demeanour telling doctor to obey
