Good news! The Oak House in West Bromwich has had its listing status upgraded to Grade I by @DCMS 🎉 The black and white house dates to the late 16th century, and is a good example of a large yeoman’s house built in the West Midlands vernacular tradition of box timber-framing.

My father-in-law is an obsessive model maker. He is insanely gifted. We were looking at a model of a church together years ago and I asked him what it would cost to do it. I will never forget his answer… ‘We can’t, we don’t know how to do it.’”
