@ClaudioDeSat @Bear_Faced @IuliiaMendel @pravda_eng Thanks :) Problem is - say someone in photo has a distinguishing mole unseen here. Or not. And the Ai upscaling interpolator doesn't render one, or does. This causes a problem in terms of trust, and usefulness.

After the attack on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital, a Russian pilot contacted Ukrainian military intelligence and passed on data that helped identify 30 commanders of the Russian heavy bomber division, according to sources of @pravda_eng in Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate.
He wrote that he was shocked by the attack on the children's hospital, so he decided to hand over to the Ukrainian side documents related to the activities of his military unit, as well as private photos of the command staff of the 22nd Heavy Bombing Aviation Division.
The array of information includes documents from the personnel files of senior officers, personal data of Russian military personnel and their families, etc.

@Bear_Faced @ClaudioDeSat @IuliiaMendel @pravda_eng You realise that AI upscalers basically make up data to fill in the gaps, right?

Using Ai / super resolution algorithms / deep learning to tweak and denoise again via a powerful Ai neural engine.
In addition to this we then add sharpness enhancement.
Then texture and detail generation along with ai calculated colour and contrast.
Then finally jpg artifact removal by ai.
All trying to keep the faces true to what they were so we don’t alter the appearance.
This process will add detail back but use powerful ai to ensure faithful interpretation when doing so.
