How to overcome the painful past ?
You don’t heal the past by staring at it longer.
You don’t undo it by replaying it perfectly in your head.
You don’t free yourself by asking “why did this happen to me?” one more time.
The past doesn’t loosen its grip because you understood it better.
The past fades when your present begins to nourish you.
Painful experiences fade not when they are erased, but when they are outgrown.
And the only thing that outgrows a painful past
is a nourishing present and a beautiful future.
Understanding your trauma matters.
Naming the hurt matters.
Validating what you went through matters.
But the nervous system doesn’t heal through insight alone.
It heals through new experiences of safety, meaning, joy, and agency.
What “creating a beautiful future” really means ?
Not perfection.
Not success as a revenge.
Not proving anything to anyone.
It means:
building days that don’t revolve around survival.
Forming relationships where you don’t have to shrink.
Doing work that gives you dignity.
Choosing routines that calm your body.
Allowing pleasure without guilt.
Letting hope take up space again.
Each small forward step quietly tells the brain:
“That chapter isn’t happening anymore.”
The past loses power when the future has a pull on you.
When you have:
something to look forward to,
something meaningful to build,
something gentle waiting for you tomorrow,
the past stops shouting.
Not because it was forgotten or forgiven,
but because it is no longer in charge.
You don’t heal by defeating your past.
You heal by outgrowing it.

Hey @Swiggy @SwiggyInstamart @HDFC_Bank @HDFCBank_Cares @RBI @harshamjty
Why the sudden change in Swiggy co-branded credit card terms? We're no longer receiving 10% cashback on Instamart transactions. Is it due to a new merchant name?

life update: joined family business!
after working in consulting (ZS) for 4 years
and building @modern_nomads_ since last 2 years, this felt like the smartest choice
it is very different from whatever I have done so far, let’s see how it goes — managing an already established business and growing Modern Nomads simultaneously 😃

@coldbrewdad Been there & done that. Left learning music & art between 16-20 to focus more on academics and JEE prep and still regret this every single day. Now it’s always work, career or other n number of things only to realise that hobbies would have kept me motivated.

@coldbrewdad Reading it felt like a self introspection. Eventually at every stage in life the goals keep changing (evolving) and having a balance continuing things you loved becomes difficult. Though loved the fact that guitar is something you still continue :)
