It is. The US in particular. Lived all over the world. I have experienced their ideas of "freedom" and the limitations placed upon themselves. The US system is a system that breeds opportunity and growth. Before the progressive moment it promoted growth and unfortunately that promotion has shrunk. Fortunately we still have enough freedom for those with ambition to grow and push all of us forward.

Much of the grading system is fake and inflated. When everyone gets an A, grades stop meaning anything. @GadSaad says universities have gone from an average C to an average A, and now even professors are pressured to inflate grades. I wish this was true. They should go to the private sector and leave representation to those that want to be representatives. Honestly. 140 days I think is conservative. I doubt a majority of them work legitimately 60 days. Hell we have Reps that haven't been seen in months with no explanation getting paid.

Just a friendly warning. We don’t even make $200k per year in Congress despite working nearly 140 days. If we aren’t properly compensated, a lot of us will go to the private sector and you will be left with some real idiots in Congress.

No they should be paid 60K a year and have another job. They should not be allowed to travel to other countries or have any foreign relations including immediate family. They should be banned from the stock market and prediction markets. They should be banned on voting on things that involves a conflict of interest with their current relations. They should be born an American Citizen and have generational roots in the country, state, and district they are in. Their retirement should be social security from civil service and not a federal pension. They should have an underground apartment complex just for Congress members when they are in D.C. and not outside accomodations. 140 days is a part time job and should be treated as such. They should be working at least 250 Days a year to be considered full time.

Unironically, congress members should be paid 600k-800k a year Strong financial compensation is a fundamental deterrent for corruption and alternative interests

Ok. Vulnerable post but here we are. I just weighed in at 141.4 lbs. Since Sept 2024 to today, May 15, 2026, I have lost 100lbs. It hurts to say that and share but I am going to share it because I worked so damn hard every week for over a year and a half to shed this weight. It did not happen overnight. If it wasn’t for having this incredibly challenging goal in fighting @rondarousey I most definitely wouldn’t have reached this. I was pre-diabetic, had trouble simply walking in September 2024 and have been on the path to recovery to turn myself back into an athlete since then. It was hard, SO damn hard.. there was so much to learn, too much to unpack here, ups, downs, plateaus, things I learned late I wish I learned earlier, trial by error but I did it. Thank you to Ronda, who waited patiently while I lost this weight and giving me something to aim for. There is still so much I need to learn and want to do in the health space and to continue transforming my body, but for today, I thank God, my husband and my family for sticking with and encouraging me the whole way. I pray this encourages you wherever you are in your health journey. Believe there is hope. Never give up. Ok.. enough emo, I’ve got a fight tomorrow. We’ve worked so hard to get here.
