We're accepting applications for technical assistance for MBTA communities w/multifamily zoning requirement. Get help w/siting & mapping the district, developing use & intensity requirements & the application. bit.ly/3ZUK9p9 #mbtazoning @CHAPAdotorg @massmunicipal

Earlier this week, we were in #Worcester celebrating Grand Street Commons with @MassGovernor and @MassLtGov. Housing projects like this one, made possible thanks to strong public-private partnership, will continue to be key to our state's economic success and competitiveness.

Grateful to the people of @HamiltonMATown & the Zoning Board of Appeals 4 unanimously approving 45 new economically accessible homes 4 seniors, essential workers, and young people starting out We can do this everyone. Good ethics/good economics @masscdcs @mhphousing @CHAPAdotorg

@mhpdata released #Residensity last week (residensity.mhp.net). It quickly measures housing density and form of any location in MA. Here’s the density by Shawmut T (14.1 units/acre), where some in my neighborhood oppose an affordable development abutting the station. @DotGrow

MHP's Residensity tool is a great way to think about successful neighborhoods. Mine is walkable to train, pub & downtown & a great place to raise kids. Mix of single & multifamily homes w/ average density of 5 units/acre. Most of it couldn't be built today under current zoning.

Congrats to our partners who are working to make Boston more affordable. bit.ly/3IGHBF8 @PennroseCompany @dbedc @LifeAt2Life @JP_NDC @allbrightcdc @AsianCDC @UrbanEdgeBoston @MadisonParkDC @NuestraCDC @Trinity_RE @SouthBostonNDC @masscdcs @bostondnd @MayorWu

This is a great time to take stock on implementation of the MBTA communities multifamily zoning law. From my perspective the state’s approach and the local response in the 177 affected cities and towns have been overwhelmingly positive. @amydain @jenny_schuetz @berkie1 1/13

We have had continued success providing tax-exempt financing for affordable housing, with 6 commitments = $69M in last 5 months. We have worked with housing authorities & private developers. We're excited about this, so we wrote about it. bit.ly/3JVVQXr

A vision for preserving history by renovating beloved buildings so they will serve the community for 100 more years has earned @PennroseCompany national recognition for its work in Auburn. Here's to our valued housing partner & their team. bit.ly/3hxpPt8 @DiMellaShaffer

Yvette Dyson of @WCG_CDC welcomes @masscdcs members to Worcester, noting both the resurgence & gentrification that @PolarPark represents for Kelley Sq., Canal District & city. Calls for strong inclusionary policies so no one is left behind. 4/ @CHAPAdotorg @Etel_Haxhiaj

The final MBTA zoning guidelines released last week are without doubt a major step forward on housing, climate and transportation in Massachusetts. This is a good moment to address four misperceptions about the final state policy that was announced last week (thread: 1/6)
