The generation of these monographs by the Bureau is demand-driven, providing sector-specific indicators to help address existing gaps through targeted interventions and to respond to emerging challenges. Speaking during the dissemination of the Orphans and Other Vulnerable Children (OVC) Census Monograph 2024 – Volume 4, Dr. Chris Mukiza, @UBOS_ED emphasized that this particular monograph is especially critical. It provides up-to-date indicators that highlight the burden of orphanhood and child-headed households, as well as related vulnerabilities such as rising school dropout rates, early pregnancies, and early marriages. These insights are key in guiding evidence-based planning and strengthening interventions to improve the state of welfare for vulnerable children. #UBOS #OVCMonograph #UgOVCMonograph2024 #DataForDevelopment #EvidenceBasedStatistics

How many of your career decisions are truly yours… and how many were shaped by culture, expectations, or what felt “acceptable”? How many paths did you abandon because “people like us don’t do that”even when you were capable? #WorkWellSeries

This is a wonderful time to be alive, but also a very scary one. Never before have we had so many possibilities and opportunities to achieve our goals. We have access to more platforms, tools, and knowledge than ever before. In fact, there are so many worthwhile things we could do that our ability to choose among them may be the single most important factor in what we accomplish in life. And that reality is leaving many of us feeling anxious, pressured, and overwhelmed. At the same time, there’s a global shift happening. You may be experiencing it as a personal transition, whether in your life, your business, or your career. Most people today feel buried under too much to do and too little time. And as they try to catch up, new demands keep coming in, like waves in the ocean. The truth is, we may never be able to do everything on our list. That’s why, now more than ever, our ability to identify the most important task in each moment, and then start and complete it quickly may have a greater impact on our success than any other skill we develop. As we walk towards the end of Q1, pick one very important task/thing and focus on getting it done. Sending you hugs 🫂 🤗 🥰
