@EBPSPrincipal Seven months to conduct a review?! How many reviews have been carried out without any effective change as a result. Whatever happened to the Baker Tilly review of EA? I have zero confidence in this offer that still sees teachers paid the least in the UK.

Is there a cast iron commitment to accept the findings of any such Independent Review? Only 3 members? We all know what CAN happen to Independent Review reports: remember Bengoa?

@NAHT_NI Workload, pay parity with colleagues in the rest of the UK and principal release in statutory nursery schools. Three issues that are never resolved. Just lots of lip service.

In line with the agreed timeframe, the Minister has reiterated his commitment to make an appropriate pay offer in January. This is what we have been anticipating and working towards and we will engage constructively to have this delivered for members within this timeframe.

In an ideal world, NI schools would be assured of 3 years sufficient funding to fund their 3 year School Dev Plans. Instead, we have worthless 3-Year financial plans & annual pay disputes. Teachers in NI vote to take strike action bbc.com/news/articles/…

@BBCNewsNI Disappointing headline but not surprised. Blaming schools. Instead, ask why they have said no. This does not put learners first but the system first and so boxes can be ticked. Pupils need right specialist support/resources. EA saw this coming.

@NAHT_NI Really interested to see how it looks for leaders, given higher tax brackets & given that we have carried every human & financial deficit. Wondering what happens in coming years - are incremental & in-year increases secured in lines with inflation, or back to ASOS in September?
