@MichelleObama As a trans woman I live with suicidal ideation as a part of my life. I have times when I have to choose life for others because, if it were only me, I would end my life in a heartbeat. Yet on Christmas Day last year I could not form the thought that anyone would miss me.

I was heartbroken to learn about the passing of Stephen “tWitch” Boss, who I got to know over the years through my Let’s Move! initiative and visits to The Ellen Show. My heart goes out to his wife, Allison, and his three children during this difficult time.
