Sgt. Michael Emmanuel Swinton has been identified as the American servicemember who was killed in Iraq last week during a controlled detonation of an Iranian drone.
He is survived by his wife, his 6-year-old son, his 4-year-old daughter, and his two brothers and two sisters.
Our prayers go out to his family and loved ones. May we never forget his service and sacrifice, and may his memory be a blessing.

@TotiKubila @BuzzPatterson Evidently youre not old enough to remember what Iran has done to Americans. They also vowed to eliminate all Americans and destroy the US. This is not a new war

@BuzzPatterson 🙏🏼😞we didn’t vote for a new war and our boys and girls dying again in the Middle East! Poor parents…

@libsoftiktok @MargoinWNC @MarvinRidgeHSNC I remember here in Durham northern high told a student he couldn’t paint anything about Trump . I don’t know what he said but a week later, his spot was painted Trump and the flag and scriptures.

WTF. Mother of a student at @MarvinRidgeHSNC in North Carolina, says her son's senior year American Flag parking spot design was reportedly DENIED by the school because it "might offend someone."
This student, who is enlisting in the military, can't have an AMERICAN FLAG parking spot at an AMERICAN PUBLIC SCHOOL.
Wtf is going on @MarvinRidgeHSNC?!

One of the strangest parts of growing older is mourning a time that no longer exists.
You begin to feel a deep homesickness for a version of your life that’s gone forever, a place you can never return to.
It’s a quiet, unspoken kind of longing that no one ever prepares you for.
Anyone else feel this?
