@Skoll_Invictus Like if Tamama was trying really hard to kiss Keroro (his crush) and another character called him out on it, and how forceful he’s being, he’d probably apologize and go back to being sweet. Same for any other of my faves. Though this Tiger responds to criticism badly.

@Skoll_Invictus There are some very sweet and very likeable anthro characters out there who kinda act like pervs. But, the difference is they‘re open, acknowledging their flaws and they aren’t outright in denial like this Tiger… 🫣Tamama and Teddie are some of my faves, but they’re humble.

@zbob90art Thank you so much for the post. Seeing others say it. That’s what I spread: Aika ain’t a new type of character! Cure Black / Nagi already had had a constant bicker with her mascot, didn’t wanna be a magical girl. She also had a fangirl nerd best friend. It’s gags are borrowed!

@dandadania @Redlinkkid @JadeAtrophis Kiana said that the show’s art takes inspiration from Ojamajo Doremi but it is possible to take that inspir just looking at gifs. She probably hasn’t seen pretty cure either as she said so on the Sparkleside podcast.
Kiana watched Madoka and thought these idea were unique somehow

If Kiana had actually seen Sakura they wouldn’t be agreeing that their lesbian couple reminds them of two cousins… Kiana has not seen many shows

Meanwhile her classmate Cure Honoka, loves magical girls and admires Nagisa! Honoka becomes a mahou, too, for Nagi. All in episode 1

@BigWayneX @LilDrawingboy If you’d like further criticism i can go into it, but basically these two episodes didn’t do anything that hasn’t already been done in Toei kid oriented magical girl anime. Like for example 60s’ Sally the Witch, did the “she’s from another world and wants to live on earth”

@BigWayneX @LilDrawingboy Well, the intent of it, is criticism. Hatred would be throwing ad hominem insults at a lady. This is meant to critique a show. Whether you agree with the criticism is up to you. My biggest critique is Zira seems to have little going on besides her crush, and Aika doesn’t develop.

@Jay_Skeletyn 💯well said, I agree. It fries me, that this series is getting called “a new original take” on magical girls. Folks saying that haven’t seen any show besides Madoka. Cure Black didn’t want to be a mahou + got angry at her mascot. Doremi also did most of these gags before. better.
