Could 100% be wrong but I think the Shuriken support is a preamble to a new Ninja hero in #fabtcg. Their design space doesn't do much for any current hero outside Silverwind (alt way to play at best). Others can't trigger Katsu/too slow for Ira. Hopeful something is coming.

FaB currently lacks incentives for pro players to attend major tournaments around the world, so the EA gold foil change should help a little.
That said, the whole competitive roadmap needs a far more serious rework..

I've been pretty vocal with my friends that imo this is completely unsustainable.
I expect within the next 6 months we'll see a few very high profile robberies of entire prize kits - this sort of money has transcended great prizing and has gone beyond to be actively harmful.

One Piece Treasure Cup prizing is completely absurd. Top 64 Nami (€2.4k) → €153.6k Top 16 Bonney (€3k) → €48k Top 8 Enel (€6k) → €48k Top 4 Serial Zoro (€40k) → €160k ~€410k total value in a 256 player event. That’s €1.6k per player on average. Let that sink in.

I was Round 8 Lucy. I was robbed during our match. The head judge confirmed on Sunday that he should have been disqualified. It’s sad to see what regionals have become after the price spikes. Sharking, cheating, and match-selling are now more frequent than ever.
