This picture is bothering me since 2 days. Here, I don’t care if we are on #3 or #20. What is almost criminal here is to put here with countries which have per capita income of at least $12,313. AT LEAST! Not even talking about US which is massive in size & in population. We shouldn’t be on this table because only in low IQ people of India you would see that 4th or 6th rank and feel proud. Now the question arises why we are failing to break barriers when it comes to per capita income? Now no one even talks about it or seems bothered about it. In British Raj, several cities were made, even in Princely states, the cities like Lucknow, Hyderabad, Baroda, Mysuru etc started picking up pace. All that was happening because of the effort behind it. The effort of industrialisation. I am just giving an idea of that massive scale & vision. British did not get these industries readymade. They did surveys and started mining, sorted out agriculture revenue, then started looking for cash crops, then shifted to plantations like Tea, Rubber, cotton etc. All that needed effort to pick foreign plants & put them in suitable place of Indian subcontinent. Then of course, irrigation infrastructure for it. When they sense trouble in USA due to civil war, they replicated cotton mills in Ahmedabad and Mumbai. Then princely states copied that model in Indian cities. The workers needed accommodation so group housing called Chawls started. Reclaimed land in Mumbai for easy transport. These efforts were all adding up to increase revenue & income of people. Literally old silk route was abandoned and shifted to sea route by Europeans. Then came independence and we went for another wave of industrialisation. Set steel plants, other PSUs everywhere, made HMT and made tools, tractors, and watched in it. Brought experts from world to make things for us. Took help of Russians, Canadians, French, Americans. It went on for sometime. But then, things started going south. Somewhere we lost the touch. Forgot everything about industrialisation & how it needs to be replicated again & again in different regions. There is no other way. You cannot just put things at a plant and forget about it. You really need to do it repeatedly, in newer regions. So, here we are. Our agriculture will start suffering now (it already is). Why? Because not enough young people are wanting to be a farmer now. Hard to find a guy now who is happy to be just a farmer unlike his ancestors. IT industry has lost the lustre. All these decades and we don’t have any single great software or hardware piece to claim. Only construction sector is largely handling your employment as it is still needing human labour in India. Even that gonna change if we do not wake up even now. So, it must be the number one concern. But sadly, no one cares now.

आख़िर क्यों हटाई जा रही हैं ये किताबें? भाजपा सरकार का ये फैसला सिर्फ 'सिलेबस' में बदलाव नहीं, सोच और इतिहास पर सीधा हमला है। ये उस सोच को नियंत्रित करने और मिटाने की साज़िश है, जो RSS-BJP की सत्ता को अंदर तक चुभती है। आज किताबें हटाई जा रही हैं, कल पूरी पीढ़ी को आधा-अधूरा सच और प्रोपेगेंडा पढ़ाया जाएगा। भाजपा सरकार को बताना चाहिए कि कक्षा 9 से 12 तक जिन किताबों को हटाया गया है उनमें क्या दिक्कत थी? क्या भाजपा की दिक्कत देश के निर्माण की असली कहानी से है? क्या इसलिए हटाया गया क्योंकि इन किताबों में कांग्रेस के उन महान नेताओं का योगदान दर्ज है, जिन्होंने देश को सशक्त करके मजबूत भारत का निर्माण किया, लेकिन वो BJP की राजनीति के अनुकूल नहीं हैं? अगर कुछ गलत तथ्य थे तो सुधार करते, संतुलन लाते, लेकिन पूरी किताब हटाना साफ बताता है कि मकसद सुधार नहीं, इतिहास मिटाना है। आखिर ऐसा क्या था इन किताबों में जो बच्चों के पढ़ने से RSS-BJP को असहज कर रहा था? - RSS-BJP का अपना कोई इतिहास नहीं है। क्या किताबों से स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन, शौर्य परंपरा और इतिहास के पाठ इसलिए हटाए गए हैं कि स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में लहू बहाने व देश को आज़ादी दिलाने में कांग्रेस के महान नेताओं का अमिट योगदान था? - या स्वर्णिम भारत किताब में राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी जी एवं भूतपूर्व प्रधानमंत्री पंडित जवाहर नेहरू जी की राष्ट्र-निर्माण की विचारधारा, सशक्त भारत की नींव, लोकतांत्रिक प्रणाली, शिक्षा, विज्ञान व तकनीक के क्षेत्र में IIT, IIM, AIIMS, DRDO, UGC और योजना आयोग जैसे प्रमुख संस्थानों की स्थापना का इतिहास है? - या फिर ये किताबें इसलिए हटाई गई हैं कि इनमें संविधान निर्माता बाबा साहेब डॉ. अंबेडकर जी से मिले संविधान का जिक्र है, जो नागरिकों को न्याय, समानता और आरक्षण का अधिकार देता है। - या RSS-BJP को भूतपूर्व प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी जी का दमदार नेतृत्व चुभता है? जिसने 1971 युद्ध में पाकिस्तान के 2 टुकड़े कर बांग्लादेश का निर्माण किया या फिर उनके नेतृत्व में हुआ पहला परमाणु परीक्षण, बैंकों का राष्ट्रीयकरण, हरित व श्वेत क्रान्ति जैसे ऐतिहासिक कदम जिन्होंने भारत को नई ताकत दी व आत्मनिर्भर बनाया। - भूतपूर्व प्रधानमंत्री राजीव गांधी जी के द्वारा भारत को 21वीं सदी के लिए तैयार करने का दूरदर्शी विजन देना, 18 वर्ष में मतदान का अधिकार, शासन के विकेन्द्रीकरण, पंचायती राज, कंप्यूटर व तकनीकी क्रांति की नींव रखी। क्या भाजपा को ये चुभता है कि राजीव जी के नेतृत्व में किस तरह हमारा राष्ट्र प्रोद्योगिकी में अग्रणी बना? - या फिर भाजपा को ये चुभता है कि भूतपूर्व प्रधानमंत्री डॉ. मनमोहन सिंह जी की सरकार ने 'सूचना का अधिकार', 'मनरेगा', 'आधार कार्ड', 'शिक्षा का अधिकार' और 'भोजन का अधिकार' ऐसे अनेक ऐतिहासिक कदम उठाए जिसने भारतीय लोकतंत्र को 'पारदर्शी' और मज़बूत बनाया। भाजपा सरकार ने पहले किताबों से आदिवासी वीरों का इतिहास मिटाया, मानगढ़ धाम जैसे बलिदान को नजरअंदाज किया, कालीबाई भील और ज्योतिबा फुले जैसे महान व्यक्तित्वों के इतिहास को किताबों से हटाया और अब स्वतंत्रता संग्राम से लेकर आज़ादी के बाद के भारत का स्वर्णिम दौर ही हटा दिया गया। ये सिलसिला ख़तरनाक है, ये शिक्षा सुधार नहीं, जानबूझकर इतिहास को मिटाने का षड्यंत्र है। मुख्यमंत्री @BhajanlalBjp जी, ये निर्णय गलत ही नहीं, ख़तरनाक है। सरकार इस मामले में हस्तक्षेप कर निर्णय पर पुनर्विचार करें एवं शिक्षा में प्रोपेगेंडा और भारत के इतिहास से खिलवाड़ बंद करें।

How Modi Govt is addressing the issue of Southern states in seats hike. Pic 1- As per PRS Legislative Survey, which took census numbers, the 50% seats based on population share gives -48 seats to Tamil Nadu out of 813. (5.90%) -133 seats to UP (16.36%) Pic 2- the REAL seat hike based on 1971 percentage share, as per PIB-Govt. - Tamil Nadu- 59 seats (7.23%) - Uttar Pradesh- 120 seats (14.76%) That means, UP is directly facing a loss of 13 seats if fair population percentage was taken out. Out of these, 11 are directly going to Tamil Nadu. This is one example. Other States that will take a loss are- -Bihar (9 seats loss) -Maharashtra (3 seats) -Rajasthan (9 seats) -Madhya Pradesh (5 seats) -Haryana (2 seats) -Gujarat (1 seat) So, south parties which were burning the copies of bill now need to see if they are doing a right thing? Also, as a Rajasthani, it is unfortunate that my state is taking such a huge loss. Thanks to few droughts and famines lately, safety net of Independent India, and no constant warfare, Rajasthan got a chance to have a long lasting prosperity and fulfil the gap of its lost generations after independence. But we are underrepresented. And again, almost with same population, Tamil Nadu will get 59 seats and Rajasthan will get 37 seats. Really weird to justify this gap. It means—TN voter holds more power than Rajasthan voters. Almost 40% more power?! Why? Because just we are okay with it. So, at this point if parties like DMK burn the copies of bill, they are helping Northern states here instead of their own.

I am not anti national or someone who would protest against seat hike in Parliament. Disclaimers first. It is a praise for Tamil Nadu parties and concern for below average Rajasthan politicians. Not only Tamil politicians lead the resistance to save local languages against hypothetical dangers from Hindi, they are securing about 50% more seats for their people than Rajasthan. I am comparing because population is comparable. No other intention. How Rajasthani politicians did not say a word on this under-representation is shameful. Centre accepts or not is another issue but at least raise your voice on it. First, you couldn’t get recognition to Rajasthani language in the Eighth schedule where small languages like Bodo, Dogri are present. Now, you even lose seats in Parliament and say nothing for it. At least show your dissent. Have a spine. At least bargain for language status! Something! Rajasthan population was less earlier because of extremely tough times before independence & green revolution support. We just trying to cover lost generations. Not multiplying with rate of 4-5 kids as people assume. Population rise is due to less MMR, IMR. Wish we had some regional parties like Tamil Nadu.

@ThamizhTharmar Before the BJP came to power, population control was not widely discussed. Afterwards it became an issue but South Indian parties have consistently opposed it. So if population should not be the basis for delimitation, you should have supported Population Control Bill/discussion.

Thank you verry much Sir 🙏🫡 ये बताने के लिए कि हम हिंदी भाषी लोग नहीं थे। सिर्फ मास्टर ही नहीं, अफसर भी यूपी बिहार से आए थे। सिर्फ अफसर ही नहीं हाकिम और हकीम भी यूपी बिहार से आए थे। और एक मजेदार बात कि राजस्थान की पत्रकारिता में सैकड़ों संपादक, लेखक, रिपोर्टर भी यूपी बिहार से ही आए थे। हिंदी नहीं आती थी राजस्थान को और 1970 - 80 तक हिंदी नहीं आती थी।
