In every war, there are operational accidents, including cases where a military force is harmed by its own fire. Unfortunately, in every war, uninvolved civilians are harmed, especially when terrorists use civilian populations as human shields. However, there is no Western military that fights terrorism more precisely, or on the basis of better intelligence, than the IDF, with a constant effort to minimize civilian casualties. The ratio between terrorist and civilian casualties is better than that of any other Western military. In fact, better than any fighting force in the world. The IDF is a professional and ethical army. For 78 consecutive years, it has faced relentless attempts to eliminate the State of Israel by totalitarian states and some of the most extreme and dangerous terrorist organizations in the world. There is no serious Western democratic military that does not seek to learn from the IDF and its experience. In fact, civilians in European countries also benefit directly from the outcomes of IDF operations. I suggest that instead of preaching morality to others, you personally condemn the disgraceful antisemitic display we saw in the Polish parliament last week. One should be cautious about making irresponsible statements that can ultimately lead to dangerous consequences.
