Northern Illinois tight end Jake Appleget plans to enter the transfer portal, a source tells @CBSSports. Appleget, who began his career at Nebraska, was a two-year starter and team captain at NIU. Graded out as one of the top blocking tight ends in the MAC this year per @PFF.
