@Noahpinion @RishiJoeSanu I'm a 2020 English grad with good TC; AMA

@MogeyQ I've found this problem to be synonymous with people who associate work with their identity. We all need a degree of separation. Disagreement becomes slight of ego, not objective feedback or a differing idea.

@LinkedIn please add the role "Conversation Designer" to LinkedIn job alerts.
Signed, not a UX Designer.

@esthercrawford A million times yes! Hearing this phrase is motivating and aggravating at the same time.

@AvivaRealEstate Also, if I reach out to a public figure I probably won’t hear back. At some point you’ll have to come to terms with the fact that you’ll need to leave it parasocial — you don’t owe everyone a response, especially when it comes to protecting your time/sanity.
English

@AvivaRealEstate I’d do a periodic Q&A session where people can sign up. If they’re persistent, request an agenda.
Often times, people don’t have a clear objective that requires a meeting. I’m always open to chats and aimlessly talking for 30min, but at this stage for me it’s only 1 or 2/week.

I don't know that anyone has ever cold outreached in a sales context with a product that legitimately could help me. Most companies resorting to sales that are focused at me are pretty awful recruiting services, soc2, virtual assistant, offshore developer farms, etc. it's almost all garbage.
if you're the founder and send a quick dm with "hey I built a cool thing, here's a video, I think you would like it because x" that will probably get me to at least look at it and respond

@ReamBraden @thesuperadvisor I wanna set my widget icon for web back to default 🤓
English

@thesuperadvisor I think it’s such a major compliment because it almost assumes everything else is right if you’re nitpicking the email change flow vs any core functions

I love voiceflow, but the fact that there's no way to change the email address on file is pretty stupid.

@caspxal @theintercept Thinking about all the towns that could sue their police unions for statements they don’t agree with, lmao.
English

@theintercept On what grounds are they suing them? Is there historical precedence for a company suing its workers for free expression?
I don't understand. Starbucks doesn't have a stake in the conflict. money.cnn.com/2014/08/08/new…

Starbucks is suing its union, Starbucks Workers United, after objecting to the group’s social media post in support of Palestine after the Hamas attack on Israel, according to an internal company note obtained by The Intercept. interc.pt/403Qi3t

@elonmusk you’re full of it when you say bots have been solved for. Look at all the replies to this post. Significantly worse than before your midlife crisis.

@AndrewSchmidtFC I am doing some writing myself on a very similar concept, specific to conversation design, I’d love to attend.

I’m giving a talk at #Config2023! Is it about content? No, not really. Design? Eh...
It’s called “THE DYING DAYS OF DELIGHTFUL SOFTWARE” and it is odd. Peculiar. A rabbit hole. A ride.
Please come!
