I needed some personal time today. So, I went to therapy. It's kind of like sitting in a barber shop for 8 hours.

@LoZabransky @RobertAdes3 This sounds like percentage of completion method, which does tax expected gross profit before $1 of revenue is received

@RobertAdes3 I had a vet client years ago who was taking all his excess profits and paying down an SBA loan at 3x the required monthly rate. Had no cash at the end of the year and a huge tax bill, that was a fun convo.

People don’t think the government taxes unrealized gains, try being an RE developer $10mm spent on a project. $5mm in revenue that the government categorizes as part profit even tho you haven’t seen a dollar yet because the bank requires loan payback… Time to come up with 7 figures to pay the tax man

@max_gagliardi @DallasAptGP Yup, that's how the percentage of completion method works, taxes income before a $1 of cash is received.
